Yay or nay: maxi skirt

There was the maxi dress this summer. I wanted one. I got one. Here.

Now there is the maxi skirt... yay or nay?

My first opinion is, nay. Because it brings me not so good memories.

I remember wearing long skirts in high school, mostly denim ones. And they had a huge slit (often to the side) to be able to walk... so unpretty and so annoying.

I also remember wearing a long floral skirt. I was so proud of it, I bought it at Jacob (which was really expensive at the time). But, man, really?!

Since then, I thought long skirts were uncool and not flattering at all.

But after seeing them on a lot of bloggers... am I changing my mind?! The decisive point will be after trying one on.

I've seen different kinds of maxi skirts...

So, what do you think? Yay or nay?

  1. For me, it's definitely a nay. I feel like my legs are wrapped in a potato bag. Plus, it's impossible to wear in Montreal during the winter because of all the snow and calcium everywhere on the ground.

    Nay!
And I'm sure you'll end up buying one anyway. You always indulge these new trends. :P

  3. Although I remember seeing a maxi sheer skirt on Emily over at Cupcakes and Cashmere, I really don't think it would look flattering on me. The last time I wore something this long was for my high school graduation!
