Yay or Nay: Message Tees

Message tees are nothing new, but they still seem to be around.

I don't own any message tee and would probably not wear most of the ones featured here, but some might be kind of cool. For example, I really like the Saturdays tee! Perfect for a casual errands day, no?

Violette: I Want

Technically, I'm not really supposed to shop because I can't handle a budget and I spent too much money in the past two months. Sigh.

Violette: I Bought (Baby Shower Edition)

As some of you might know, one of my close friends is pregnant. I'm so happy! In fact, I think I'm almost as happy as I would be if I was pregnant myself!

With pregnancy comes along... the baby shower! (Don't worry, it's not a surprise haha!)

I went shopping with Rose because she saw a lot of pretty things at Zara (as seen here)... but you know what happened? She didn't buy anything (sad!) but I found a dress for the baby shower! I didn't have to buy it now because the event is only in June, but my motto is: when you find something pretty that fits you, you buy it and... you stop looking!

This is the dress:

It's yellow! I know, I'm surprised too. But it looked good, even though I have very pale skin. I was also pleasantly surprised that the model showing the dress on Zara's website has very pale skin too! This is the proof that you don't need to burn yourself to "look good".

So, what do you think of the dress? Baby shower approved?

P.S. I don't think black pumps are the prettiest shoes to wear with that dress... do you?

Violette: Last Week

Top Swapped, Skirt Forever 21, Necklace Terra Nostra

Hello! It feels like I've been gone for a long time... Time goes by so fast in the blogosphere! One week feels like a thousand years. I tend not to get very personal on this blog but I apologize for my absence. I had a hard time at work and my cat got sick... I really wasn't in a mood for fashion. Now I'm sick (maybe as a result of all that?), but at least it forces me to take a break.

These pictures were taken last week. I really love this sweater that I swapped, thanks Julie! I also tried black nailpolish. I never wore black nailpolish (except maybe for Halloween or on my toes), but I think it looked classy, and I might just try it again.

Rose: I Want

Although I am not technically allowed to shop, I realized that I have a few gift certificates to spend before I leave for France. Trying to mix business with pleasure, I am looking for good looking yet long lasting items.

(As you can see I basically went nuts browsing the Zara website. Can't wait to get to the store Thursday, with my trustee advisor Violette!)

Yay or Nay: Royal Wedding

Did you guys celebrate the royal wedding in any way? I sure did, early this morning, at the Burgundy Lion pub in Montreal. It was a lovely event, filled with Brits, Royalists and girly girls who just wanted to see the dress. Speaking of which:

What did you think?
I thought it was an amazingly innovative dress: it mixed classic elegance and contemporary looks, from delicate fabrics, fitted silhouette and a modern neckline. I loved everything about it!

As for me, I made sure to display the little princess in me.

Hello strangers.
Sorry for the lack of posting. My camera is currently undergoing surgery, hence why I haven't been able to snap my outfits.

On the other hand I am SO over busy with the whole, you know, switching continents thing that I can barely fit in a photoshoot (yes, that's what I call them, in manner of Vogue and such).

So I had to go all the way over to Violette and actually put some of her clothes on to feel inspired enough to have my photograph taken. I actually love the surprise lace on the back of this cardi, kind of like a mullet.
